Project Completion Report: Nusuki Pavilion – Haramain High-Speed Railway Station
The Nusuki (NUSUKI) pavilion was designed and executed as a premium retail hub within the Haramain High-Speed Railway Station. This project serves as a sophisticated gateway for travelers and pilgrims, showcasing the ability of Arabesque Shapes to blend traditional Islamic motifs with the sleek, futuristic architecture of the station.
Technical Project Highlights:
1. Architectural Facade & Islamic Ornamentation
- The Crown Frieze: The most striking feature is the massive upper frieze, intricately carved with geometric Islamic patterns (Arabesque) using high-precision CNC technology. This element bridges the brand's spiritual identity with the modern transit environment.
- Finish & Coating: The structure is finished in a pristine, pure white matte coating. This choice maximizes the station’s natural and artificial lighting, giving the pavilion a bright, spacious, and welcoming presence.
2. Specialized Retail Units & Display Systems
- Strategic Layout: The central and perimeter display counters were engineered to accommodate high-volume foot traffic within the station, ensuring an intuitive flow for passengers.
- Integrated Illumination: Wall-mounted display units feature recessed LED strip lighting. This "halo" effect highlights premium products—such as prayer rugs, Ihram garments, and souvenirs—enhancing their visual appeal and perceived value.
- High-Durability Craftsmanship: Constructed using high-grade treated timber and laminates designed to withstand the rigors of a high-traffic railway environment while maintaining a luxury aesthetic.
3. Branding & Visual Communication
- 3D Signage: The "NUSUKI" and "MINWAL" logos were fabricated as 3D channel letters with internal LED backlighting, ensuring maximum brand visibility from all angles across the station terminal.
- Integrated Lightboxes: The woodwork seamlessly incorporates promotional lightboxes and digital displays, allowing for dynamic marketing within the permanent wooden structure.
4. Architectural Integration
- The pavilion was designed to feel like an organic extension of the Haramain Station’s architecture. By mirroring the station’s white-and-gray palette and linear geometry, Arabesque Shapes added a layer of cultural warmth through wood textures without clashing with the modern surroundings.
Executive Summary:
The Nusuki project at the Haramain High-Speed Railway Station is a benchmark for luxury retail fit-outs.
